- Minimum of eight (8) years of fundraising experience in higher education or similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills to develop collaborative working relationships
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and establish goals
- In-depth experience with major gifts management, alumni engagement donor relations, fundraising, database services, communications and marketing in higher education
- Comprehensive capital campaign experience

Description
POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the President, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at DeSales University provides strategic direction, vision, and management of the University's overall institutional advancement efforts. The VP works collaboratively to develop, implement and achieve strategic plans for increasing private support; and provides leadership, direction and oversight for major gifts, corporate and foundation gifts, planned giving, annual giving, prospect research, donor relations, alumni engagement, and advancement information services. The ideal candidate has a strong, demonstrable working knowledge of current best practices in all aspects of fundraising.
