- Work directly with the Patient Care team in identifying and solving patient problems/complaints
- Relay patient information to doctors and communicate with other health team members about a patient's care
- Provide information about care and treatment to patients and families
- Promote an atmosphere which facilitates collaboration and empowerment of staff
- Assess and evaluate staff competency
- Assist with ensuring adequate labor coverage
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 3+ years of experience in Cardiac Care or Medical Surgical role/setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory/Charge Nurse role
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a team-based, collective bargaining environment
