    Description

    Basic Purpose and Scope:
    The Maintenance I is responsible for the mechanical maintenance and repair of plant equipment

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies - Always
    • Completes planned maintenance, breakdown repair and condition monitoring activities of plant equipment - 75%
    • Provide part and material details to support equipment operation - 15%
    • Perform scheduled lubrication on assigned assets - 10%
    • Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeep throughout the facility and grounds - Ongoing
    • Communicate with maintenance leadership on all maintenance issues - Ongoing
    • Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing
    • Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements - Ongoing
    • Other duties as assigned - Ongoing

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:

    • Education: High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred
    • Experience: Minimum two years' experience working with machinery or equivalent training
    • Certifications: None
    • Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to analyze and resolve technical problems or assist others in solving equipment issues
    • Ability to use basic math in all units of measure, compute rate, ration, and percent
    • Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language

    Frequently; up to 55 lbs. Over 55 lbs. must be with two or more individuals or with mechanical aides (hoist, dolly cart, forklift)

    Specific visions abilities include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust/focus.
