    Block Annealing Furnace Helper

    The primary responsibilities of the Block Annealing Furnace Helper include unloading, insulating, coiling and packaging copper tube material processed through the annealing furnace. Each task requires performing one at a time.

    1. Assemble large cardboard boxes using packing tape. The finished boxes are 51 inches tall and weigh 24 pounds when empty.
    2. Operate the push-button control panel to transfer long copper tube material from machine rollers to insulating area rollers.
    3. Push or pull on large flat bundles of copper tubes and coils down rollers (up to 50 pounds of force). Perform this action up to 20 times per shift.
    • Key tasks:


    • To constantly place insulation onto copper tube materials utilizing foot pedals for belt operation (up to 500 times daily). Perform repetitive actions with hands such as pushing/pulling (Up-to-30-pounds-of-force), use reacher bars for moving heavy items.

      Carefully handle caps being placed onto ends of finished coil products weighing no more than thirty-five (35) pounds placing them securely inside pre-assembled large containers measuring fifty-one (~51~inches in height)
