- The Engineer will analyze internal and NASA driven engineering changes for distribution to the larger SLS Boeing Avionics group
- Process engineering change impacts, to include details on cost and schedule impacts
- Be the Avionics focal for processing NASA directives and provide official responses of acceptance to the relevant program boards
- Provide official board representation for Avionics concerning the "kickoff" of all program level changes and once fully vetted, provide official responses of approval to the relevant boards
- Brief management, in multiple forums, on engineering change issues/concerns/helps needed, to include providing weekly email briefs of rollups of Avionics changes and their statuses
- Provide, as needed, support for Avionics engineers and management in all aspects of engineering changes and related questions
- Provide, as needed and as able, support for other related efforts to include Risk/Issues/Opportunities, Request for Proposal processing, Engineering Release tracking, etc.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a Customer/NASA background check for which requires US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Familiarity with common configuration tools (like Windchill/APDM and SharePoint).
- The applicant must have experience with configuration management.
- The successful applicant must have strong communication skills, be able to work successfully with a diverse group of engineers, and are capable of working in a high-paced/multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple activities concurrently.
- The applicant must be capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Experience in System Engineering.
- Experience with avionics hardware and software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
