Responsibilities:

• The Engineer will analyze internal and NASA driven engineering changes for distribution to the larger SLS Boeing Avionics group
• Process engineering change impacts, to include details on cost and schedule impacts
• Be the Avionics focal for processing NASA directives and provide official responses of acceptance to the relevant program boards
• Provide official board representation for Avionics concerning the "kickoff" of all program level changes and once fully vetted, provide official responses of approval to the relevant boards
• Brief management, in multiple forums, on engineering change issues/concerns/helps needed, to include providing weekly email briefs of rollups of Avionics changes and their statuses
• Provide, as needed, support for Avionics engineers and management in all aspects of engineering changes and related questions
• Provide, as needed and as able, support for other related efforts to include Risk/Issues/Opportunities, Request for Proposal processing, Engineering Release tracking, etc.

Required:

• This position requires the ability to obtain a Customer/NASA background check for which requires US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Familiarity with common configuration tools (like Windchill/APDM and SharePoint).
• The applicant must have experience with configuration management.
• The successful applicant must have strong communication skills, be able to work successfully with a diverse group of engineers, and are capable of working in a high-paced/multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple activities concurrently.
• The applicant must be capable of working with minimal supervision.

Desired:

• Experience in System Engineering.
• Experience with avionics hardware and software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
