    Job Title: IT Project Manager

    Location: Columbia, SC (on-site 2 days per week and as needed, must be local)

    Duration: 3/25/24-3/21/25 with potential extension/conversion

    Rate: $61/hr

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Senior Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of various project-oriented work efforts. This role demands managing multiple work efforts of varying scales, complexities, and impacts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and monitor project plans, risk management plans, and documentation from scope to post-implementation.
    • Identify scope, budget, risk, and resource impacts, ensuring optimal resource allocation and management of budgeted project hours.
    • Lead project communications, facilitating effective interactions among all project stakeholders.
    • Manage project issues throughout the lifecycle, communicating changes and implications to senior management.
    • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and project methodology standards.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused, assertive approach.
    • Advanced leadership skills in a team or project environment, with the ability to lead multidiscipline, high-performance work teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving, conflict management, and analytical skills.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles, information systems, and business processes.
    • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion, with effective strategic thinking.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.
    • 5 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, with experience leading multiple concurrent project teams.
    • PMP Certification preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Experience in cloud, network, and security projects, especially with AWS or AZURE implementations.
