    Description


    Foreign Policy is seeking a Product Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the technical implementation and maintenance of FP's subscription offerings.

    Reporting to the VP of Product & Data, the product manager will become a platform expert on FP's subscription stack, owning the product backlog and roadmap to prioritize initiatives and ensure they are executed in ways that are measurable and scalable.


    This cross-functional role will work closely with engineering, marketing, editorial, design, and data in understanding business needs and providing subject matter expertise to guide FP's subscription roadmap.

    This role will also be closely integrated with customer support to gain direct visibility into the member experience and improve operational efficiency.


    The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using subscription management tools and will be comfortable navigating the technical details of project execution, while also being able to deliver on overall subscription strategy.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Set short and long-term goals for FP's subscription offerings, including both consumer and corporate subscriptions, incorporating industry trends and customer feedback into our strategic vision.

    Act as the bridge between various teams throughout the product development lifecycle, translating requests from stakeholders into well-defined product requirements and specifications, as well as overseeing the planning, design, testing and documentation of new initiatives.

    Work with the subscription marketing team to ensure timely execution of product growth initiatives, with the ability to track performance KPIs against revenue goals.

    Partner with customer support to monitor subscriber inquiries and turn user feedback into product deliverables to enhance the member experience.

    Collaborate with creative design and editorial to establish consistency between the FP editorial brand and the subscriber journey.

    Perform data analysis on key subscription product features and benefits, identifying opportunities to improve ROI and optimize subscription conversion and engagement.

    Manage relationships with external subscription management partners and services, including app developers, distribution services, and payment platforms.

    Qualifications:


    4+ years experience in product management, marketing, customer success, or operations for a subscription business, preferably in media or publishing.

    Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, coordinating technical requirements with business decisions for scalable growth.

    Experience working with subscription management platforms and email service providers such as and Sailthru, with familiarity in conducting A/B and multivariate tests.

    Analytical mindset and knowledge of data pipelines and subscription metrics, with an understanding of how different systems interact with each other.

    Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of aligning strategic goals across teams.

    The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000.
