    Job Description

    We're seeking a Senior Business analyst to join a technology team which is embedded with our Custom Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) business. In this position, you will work closely with the business team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge capabilities in support of Invesco's separately managed accounts business. You'll be expected to have basic investments knowledge to collect and visualize investment processes quickly and accurately. The environment is demanding, and you will be challenged. We expect that you are fluent in data and application integration. You'll be a part of a dynamic, collaborative team that wants to hear your input because you have a sound foundation in technology and appreciate the nuances of investment processes.

    As a Senior Business Analyst, Investment Technology, you will be working on a squad that builds global trading applications and global trading data platforms. This role includes working on requirements from business that enables the global trading organization to automate workflows and better make data driven decisions to improve execution quality. Additional responsibilities include working to meet development standards and best practices, DevOps pipelines and security standards, and adhering to the foundation which meet the long-term goals in terms of functionality, supportability, extendibility, and scalability. This role also provides an opportunity to explore the latest technology stack to improve the current business model

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with business partners to identify data patterns and themes, and translate them into reportable formats
    • Work closely with business analysts and product owners to breakdown data requirements into development tasks
    • Deliver curated data sets to the business for report generation
    • Deliver real time data for use by traders directly into the execution management system to implement systematic trading algorithms
    • Contribute to the buildout of robust data pipelines using modern data engineering technology stack and Cloud architecture
    • Management of application and data integration platforms using AWS Cloud Components
    • Enable the full life cycle of projects: planning, design, development, testing and rollout that conforms to Agile Standards

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum 5+ years of working as a Business Analyst in Financial Services/Asset Management
    • Working experience on Oracle/ SQL Server
    • Working knowledge data presentation layers (Power BI, Tableau)
    • Working knowledge in Python programming
    • Working experience of Agile methodology
    • Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
    • Securities industry knowledge
    • Knowledge of Trading systems like EzeCastle or CRD
    • Knowledge of "Perform" portfolio management system
    • Knowledge of Order management system experience

    Skills/Other Personal Attributes Required:

    • Ability to pivot to new technologies as they become available. Keep pace with a constantly changing environment.
    • Willingness to adopt a test driven development approach and automate tests using appropriate tools
    • Comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, ideas, or goals) and translating these into more tangible outputs.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, matched with comparable written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated. Capable of working independently and iteratively, but also able to actively contribute and participate as a team player.
