General Duties
1.
Applies principles of accounting to establish and maintain operation of general accounting system.
2.
Informs Chief Financial Officer of material variances between actual and budgeted expenditures.
3.
Assists Chief Financial Officer in monthly closing.
4.
Assists Chief Financial Officer in the coordination and preparation of year-end related work papers and audit schedules.
5.
Assist in the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of programmatic and fiscal monitoring reports.
6.
Assist Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of budgets and requests for proposals.
7.
Responsible for Intercompany and Interfund reconciliations.
8.
Responsible for balance books and bank accounts.
9.
Responsible for monthly accruals calculations.
10.
Provides records of assets, liabilities and financial transactions of program.
11.
Responsible for inventory and depreciation.
12.
Responsible for positive pay approvals.
13.
Work alongside Human Resources in the preparation of monthly Workers Compensation calculations.
14.
Work alongside Human Resources in the preparation of bi-monthly payroll; prepare and reconcile payroll analysis; post payroll journals in the accounting system.
Submit electronic payments of payroll taxes deposits.
16.
Review procedures related to General Accounting processes and recommend changes to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness.
17.
Backup support for other members of the Accounting team.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
At least 5 years of accounting experience; working experience in a multi-funded non-profit organization is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations.
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Our services are all provided to aid the rapidly increasing elderly population with essential services in a loving and sensitive manner.
The Rainbow Intergenerational Learning Center and Child Care Program provides an opportunity for children to develop their maximum potential. The service is offered to working for low-income families.
By providing them with access to safe, quality child care services, children of low-income families are prepared to compete on an equal basis with other children of better economic means.
By identifying the obstacles that prevent children from learning, the program enables its children to develop the skills necessary to succeed in their school life.
In addition, parents will find a safe, professional, loving, and culturally sensitive environment for children while they become better informed on issues relative to child rearing.
Rainbow Child Care Services are offered to children between the ages of 0 through 5. This program is offered on a sliding scale fee and subsided services are also available.Company Description
