Job description
  • You're good at communicating with others; you listen and understand others' needs.
  • You have patience, compassion, and empathy for others—especially in stressful or difficult situations.
  • You are able to foster healthy and productive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • You're organized and good at managing multiple tasks, paperwork, and documentation.
  • Problem-solving is a strength; you're resourceful and have good time management skills.

  • You will assist eligible clients with severe mental illness with obtaining and maintaining adequate housing by providing supportive services.

  • You will identify client needs and services to meet those needs.
  • You will:
  • Manage services related to accessing and obtaining housing.
  • Orient clients to housing programs and referral options, support services, and housing options.
  • Serve as a liaison between landlord, tenant, service providers and the community related to housing needs.
  • Complete and submit required reports.
  • Assist with grant writing and grant proposal submission.
  • Provide individualized supportive housing services for clients.
  • Communicate courteously and professionally and maintain working relationships with others in carrying out job functions.
  • Attend and represent the program and agency in a responsible, professional manner at all meetings.

  • You'll need an Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related Human Service field.

  • A Bachelor's degree and prior experience in a human service organization is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license or other evidence of mobility is required.
  • You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP's values of collaboration, innovation and compassion for those we serve.
  • Applicants must pass a Background Study.
  • Familiarity with impoverished and/or unhoused populations, computer knowledge, record keeping and/or client intake is preferred.

  • You'll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, $ $27.11/hr. Benefit eligible: medical, dental, vision, life/add, retirement plan, holiday pay and paid-time off.

Potential Schedule: Weekdays between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. dictated by program needs.
