TITLE:
FACTS Substation Commissioning Engineer

DUTIES:

Responsible for day-to-day management and execution of all aspects of the engineering and commissioning on assigned projects by leading a team of professionals, which may include a mix of both internal and external, trade and engineering backgrounds.

Develop and oversee execution of the engineering and commissioning process, adapt, and standardize commissioning plans and procedures to project specific requirements.

Preparation of technical project documentation, basic design, and system specification. Develop HMI, RTU, IEDs and SCADA System Configuration files. Develop work instructions and scope of work for commissioning activities. Work closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements. Resource Planning and coordination. Ensure work is executed according to applicable industry standards, client requirements, and processes. 75% domestic/international travel required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 6 years of experience. Will also accept Master's degree and minimum 4 years of experience.

Experience must include 4 years in the following skills:
low, medium, high voltage circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation protection and control testing; understanding of high voltage substation components including function, operation and testing methodologies; knowledge of protective relaying, end to end testing, equipment wiring diagrams, AC & DC schematics, communication schematics, and AC & DC load distribution; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook); FACTS or HVDC technology; SEL relay commissioning; Electrical utility, industrial plant, or system integrator experience

Experience must also include:
ATS NETA testing Specifications. 75% domestic/international travel required.

OTHER:
Raleigh, NC. 40 hours/week; $135,200.00/year.
