About PV

PV Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is a local, family-owned residential HVAC and plumbing company serving the Metro Atlanta area. We take a building-science approach to comfort, efficiency, health, and safety and are deeply involved in Georgia's energy efficiency rebate programs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a BPI-Certified Auditor to perform whole-home energy audits, diagnostic testing, and energy modeling to support our Georgia rebate programs and in-house design and sales teams. This is a hands-on, field-based role that plays a key part in helping homeowners qualify for and successfully complete energy efficiency upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Audits & Diagnostic Testing

Perform full home energy audits

  • Conduct blower door testing
  • Perform CAZ (Combustion Appliance Zone) testing
    Assess insulation, air leakage, duct systems, and overall building envelope
  • Create energy models and reports using Snugg Pro and other home assessment modeling tools as needed

Georgia Rebate Program Support

  • Provide technical and field support for HER and HEAR Georgia rebate programs
    Collect, document, and verify required data for rebate compliance
  • Support the sales team by explaining audit findings and rebate requirements
    Help ensure projects meet program guidelines and documentation standards

Professional Growth & Training Opportunities

This role provides the opportunity to learn and grow into HVAC design and advanced building science, including:

Manual J (load calculations)

Manual D (duct design)

Manual S (equipment selection)

Manual T (air distribution)

HVAC system performance, airflow testing, and diagnostics

(No prior HVAC design experience required — training and exposure provided.)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and able to:

    Crawl in attics and crawlspaces

Work in hot, dusty, or confined environments

Carry and operate diagnostic equipment
Ability to safely access all areas of a residential home

Requirements

  • Active BPI Certification (required)
    Residential field experience preferred

    Strong attention to detail and documentation

    Clear and professional communication skills

    Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits

  • $50,000–$80,000 annual salary, based on experience
