- Collaborate with the VP of Manufacturing to establish long-range operating and manufacturing goals aligned with organizational needs.
- Lead cost improvement initiatives, including equipment modifications and capital investments, aimed at reducing overall costs and improving machine and operator efficiencies.
- Ensure individual and team performance meets objectives and client expectations.
- Conduct daily team briefings to plan and coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Ensure consistent adherence to safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed to achieve maintenance department goals.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned or necessary to support company objectives
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience managing maintenance or engineering departments.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance role within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment plus 3 years' of experience in managing maintenance team members.
- Strong managerial and supervisory skills with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in time management and analytical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and ladder logic, as well as program and modify PLC programs.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, CAD, and other relevant software packages.
- Team player with a sense of urgency, capable of thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and traverse between manufacturing facilities.
