    The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of Portfolio Management Department duties in support of Investco and its affiliated companies. This person will utilize their financial analysis, excel and modeling skills to support the execution of asset strategies for real estate and operating companies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review monthly financial statements, attend financial meetings and summarize meeting outcomes.
    • Produce drafts of quarterly asset and portfolio level performance reporting, including narrative reports on variances.
    • Analyze current and past financial results, monitor variances, and assist with identifying trends to improve financial performance.
    • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and asset plans.
    • Research and analyze pertinent market data to identify investment opportunities and/or operating results benchmarks for owned businesses and assets.
    • Assist with preparation of loan and appraisal packages for properties, equipment and operating lines of credit.
    • Underwrite existing assets to establish recommendations for fair market valuations.
    • Undertake data collection and creation of 5-year financial models.
    • Conduct tax appeal research.
    • Utilize and maintain relevant business and property databases.
    • Prepare analysis of interest rate, loan and other risk assessments.
    • Increase productivity through process automation, coordinating information requirements.
    • Provide general analytic, investment modeling support.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration or related field.
    • 1+ years of Financial Analysis experience.
    • Experience with operating companies preferred.
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial statements, and budgets.
    • Excel proficiency with complex formulas and financial modeling.
    • Yardi experience preferred.
    • Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
