POSITION TITLE: Director of Clinton and Jackson Clinical Services
REPORTS TO: Clinical Director
POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Responsible for managing component services, program planning, grant monitoring and supervision of Assistant Director of Clinton and Jackson Clinical Services, Lead Counselor, Counselors, and Hightower Place Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Provide direct supervision, training and guidance to direct supervisees. Oversee interns, including selection, training, assignment to projects as well as supervisor, and required agency and school paperwork.
• Monitor expenses of component, project, and grant budgets.
• Monitor compliance with projects, licensure, accreditation and grant requirements.
• Evaluate component programs and review data regularly to ensure effectiveness of current strategies.
• Write and submit quarterly/year-end reports, ensuring successful completion of goals and objectives.
• Ensure component activities, successes and needs are promoted within the agency and to the community through staff email, agency website and other agency communications.
• Develop and maintain positive work relationships with media, referral sources, community schools, colleges, civic organizations, youth serving organizations, churches, public health departments, funders, and other businesses.
• Participate in substance abuse community coalitions and committees, both locally and state-wide.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of a Master's degree in human services or related field
• Knowledge of current theories, techniques and practices of effective substance abuse prevention strategies
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in the substance use disorder field
• Skill in supervision, including coaching, training and intervention
• Ability to work on a daily basis utilizing standard office equipment.
• Ability to use computer system, software and to work well technology.
• Ability to use independent judgment, analytical/decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, human relations skills, team working skills, and organizational skills.
• This position consists of frequent sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
