- Conduct dynamic assessments of sailors' abilities to comply with approved maintenance and operational procedures, providing formal appraisals of performance with recommendations for improvement and methods to maintain technical and tactical proficiency.
- Observe and assess contemporaries during Practice and Certification Teaches per NAVEDTRA 135 requirements.
- Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides for traditional classroom teaching.
- Support course reviews and curriculum updates, conducting training gap analysis and providing formal feedback and recommendations for course improvement.
- Document the training conducted, including specifics of individual areas/watch stations, and generate formal assessments of measure of success through written reports.
- Develop, test, maintain, and deliver moderately complex Aegis training programs and related materials to support ATRC training objectives.
- Establish and review course content and objectives.
- Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
- Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
- Stay current with relevant technologies as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
- Seven (7) years of experience with the required system or process as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor, with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman-level training environment.
- Experience as a qualified BMDO watch stander with relevant shipboard experience in Ballistic Missile Defense, and Mission Planner experience is a plus.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction, and counseling students on academic learning problems
- Experience as a qualified BMDO and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of CSCS/TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus.
- Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.
- Travel may be required, up to 5% of the time

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training and educational programs to support the training needs of Fleet sailors
The training program will encompass traditional classroom instruction and tactical lab training, with a focus on training CG/DDG sailors in the tactical employment of the Aegis combat system and associated weapons systems
Responsibilities:
Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and Limitations, as well as Operational and Tactical doctrine, to optimize the application of ship's Combat Systems capabilities and limitations in the dynamic operational tactical environment.
