    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Step-Down (Telemetry/PCU) position on night shifts, requiring an active NC or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a cardiac step-down unit within a hospital setting
    • Patient population consists of cardiac step-down/telemetry cases
    • Night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
    • Position is for a 13-week travel contract
    • Floating may be required as per hospital needs
    • Provide nursing care and monitoring for patients with cardiac and telemetry needs
    • Must submit complete application, references, and copies of all required certifications
    • Holiday coverage may be required based on scheduling needs
    • First-time travelers will be considered for this position

    Requirements

    • Active NC or compact RN license required
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac step-down or telemetry required
    • 2 years of recent clinical experience preferred for certain regions
    • Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
    • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
    • Professional references required: two for FL and MO, one for other states
    • No local candidates permitted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
