- Assume the lead engineer's role on assigned projects
- Ensure project compliance with respective client specifications and governing codes, as well as provide definition of Structural and Design scope of supply on any given project
- BS in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer
- 10+ years of relevant work experience with demonstrated increasing responsibilities in engineering management working with a combined team of engineers and designers
- Experience with fired heaters or furnaces for petrochemical applications, or experience in power plants, chemical plants, or pulp and paper industry
- Working knowledge of structural design and analysis calculations using computer-aided and / or manual design techniques including, but not limited to: base plates, foundation anchor bolts, columns, platforms, ducts, stacks, heater shell, pipe racks, bolted and welded connections, piping and equipment support steel, wind, seismic, dead and live loads
- Working knowledge of national and international codes, governing regulations and industry standards, etc. (e.g. IBC, ASCE, AISC, API, OSHA, PIP)
- Effective computer skills and working knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, STAAD Pro, Smart Plant Review, AutoCAD, TEKLA, or equivalent software
