    Senior Biostatistician Job Description:

    As a Senior Biostatistician, you will take a leading role in a variety of projects, providing consultation and collaboration with experts in epidemiology, informatics, clinical, data science, and engineering. You will further enhance your analytical skills, gain exposure to various therapeutic domains, and have opportunities for career growth within a flexible work environment. Your responsibilities will include contributing to research design and analytical strategies, offering insights into protocols, and creating and reviewing statistical analysis plans.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Lead biostatistical efforts on real-world data studies, overseeing the creation of statistical analysis plans (SAPs), results interpretation, and report writing.
    2. Develop technical solutions that align with project goals, addressing complex biostatistical challenges, selecting appropriate statistical methods, and aiding in the interpretation of results.
    3. Draft or assess programming specifications and analytic plans, conducting advanced analytical methods when necessary, and interpreting analytic outcomes for teams.
    4. Collaborate with epidemiologists and other clinical experts to identify and fulfill statistical support needs for studies.
    5. Maintain effective communication with team members concerning study execution, timelines, data quality, and result interpretation.
    6. Scrutinize analysis data sets to ensure quality control.
    7. Contribute to the long-term departmental growth strategy through participation in process improvement initiatives and staying updated on statistical methodologies relevant to real-world data (RWD).

    Qualifications:

    • Profound knowledge of statistical principles and methodologies for observational data, with the ability to apply and implement them.
    • Solid grasp of real-world healthcare data elements and common data structures.
    • Proficiency in SQL for accessing and processing rich RWD and proficiency in the SAS programming language for data processing and analysis.
    • Familiarity with R or Python is advantageous.
    • Exceptional critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage priorities, work under tight deadlines, and meet targets.
    • Strong writing, reviewing, and presentation skills for conveying statistical information effectively, both in written and oral formats, including the capacity to explain methodology and decision consequences in straightforward terms and translate requests into meaningful objectives.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • A PhD (preferred) or master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or equivalent field is required.
    • A minimum of 7 years of experience working with healthcare data from various sources, including electronic health records and claims data, along with expertise in study design, data preparation, analysis, and interpretation.
