    Description

    A part-time Physical Therapist position is available at a health services organization in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PT evaluation and treatment, with experience working with individuals to improve muscle tone and strength, range of motion, and activities of daily living.

    About the Opportunity

    • Schedule: 2 full days or 4 half days per week
    • Setting: School-based environment

    Responsibilities

    • Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments
    • Select and implement adaptive strategies to aid consumers in adjusting to their disabilities
    • Teach essential skills necessary for daily living and vocational tasks
    • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration through participation in team meetings and case conferences
    • Provide consultation and education to caregivers and other patient care personnel
    • Maintain accurate records of therapy activities and progress
    • Conduct ongoing evaluations and recommendations for medical/psychiatric conditions
    • Perform additional duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
    • Active NYS Physical Therapist license

    Preferred Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of prior experience as a Physical Therapist
    • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
