Job Description Salary:
McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Professional Engineer- Telecommunications for full-time work onsite in our Orangeburg, SC office.

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted engineering firm housing multiple divisions including the Communications Engineering Division, the Electrical Engineering Division, the Electric Utility Service Division, the Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.

A McCall-Thomas Communications Engineer role will include the following responsibilities:

Central Office Engineering
Outside Plant Network Design
Fiber Route/Equipment Planning
Construction/Project

Management
Contract Management
Conference travel and client relations


What You Will Need:
Eligibility to work in the US with no sponsorship requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college engineering program
PE license

required
7+ years experience in FTTH Technology/Design
Knowledge of all aspects of FTTH design, staking, construction, inspection, contracts
Complete understanding of OSP, Engineering, and Construction of Fiber Optic Systems supplying residential and broadband services
Direct experience with RUS specifications and contracts for rural telecommunications or rural electric cooperatives
Knowledge and understanding of fiber testing, specifications and analysis
Experience with FTTP GPON/XGS-PON/NG-PON2 and active ethernet technologies
Experience with Adtran and Calix access equipment
Experience giving technical presentations on various telecommunications subjects
Understanding of consulting engineering industry
Proficiency in Engineering and GIS systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
