- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors.
- Keep records on the use and/ or damage of stock or stock handling equipment
- Drive fork trucks in order to pick up incoming stock or to deliver parts to designated locations.
- Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse/shipping & receiving workers.
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Some outside work may be required unloading railcars.
- Adheres to and understands GMP and Safety programs.
- Understands and uses the Standard Operating Procedures for the area.
- High School Diploma/GED and/or 2 years of related experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (training will be available)
- Scanner experience preferred
- Computer and software skills preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with others orally or in writing.
- Must possess excellent team management.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
- Must be able to become certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift certification.
- The ability to perform repetitious work.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, squatting, bending, pushing, twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, climbing, and lifting.
