**Job Description**

As a Welder You will:

+ Lays out, performs fit-up, tacks, and welds parts to produce a weldment or sub-weldment.

+ Joins various metals (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) using a full range of welding processes in different weld positions.

+ Works from engineering drawings, work instructions, operation/process sheets, pictures and project specifications.

+ Operates manual and semi-automatic welding and plasma cutting equipment. Skilled in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) .Operates oxy-fuel cutting equipment as well as a plasma torch for the purpose of cutting.

+ Operates pneumatic tooling such as grinders, sanders, drills, and threaded hole tapping equipment for the purpose of fit up.

+ Uses fixtures to layout, locate and position parts and features to be welded and reworked.

+ Must be capable of using a band saw to fabricate simple parts as well as, spacers, tie-bars, and other items that are required in a welding department.

+ Inspects work using precision measuring instruments.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Experience in Welding

+ Fabrication and Manufacturing

+ Be able to pass GMAW overhead weld test in aluminum or steel

+ Experience Reading Manufacturing blueprints

**Pay Information**

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
