CNC MACHINISTEmpirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist to work along side our CNC Programmer.

ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides various services which include but are not limited to:
rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.

**This position is fully on-site at Empirical System's Aerospace in San Luis Obispo, CA Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain machine shop equipment Set up and operate CNC and manual machines per documentationPrepare stockEnter data into digital travellersAssist in managing inventory of consumablesUtilize machining tools to modify and create partsProvide hands-on support to other shop operations as neededRequired Qualifications and Skills:Proficiency and experience with machining tools and operations such as lathes, mills, drill press, and bandsaw.

CNC setup and operation experience, including 3-axis and 5-axis mills. Ability to simultaneously monitor multiple CNC machinesDemonstrated foundation in GD&TTechnical hands-on capability with attention to detail.

Including parts fabrication, assembly, and general shop work/maintenanceAbility to use basic precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.

3+ years of experienceDesired Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with parts and Inventory ManagementCAD/CAM experienceExperience with CNC pallet changersAbility to design fixturing
