    GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW

    Intermediate operational position that monitors the movement of containers, and coordinates with various parties to ensure cargo loads the intended vessel.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

    • Prepare and submit forecasts, manifests, load lists and other close out documents for intended vessel calls.
    • Monitor the movement of containers, both inland and local, to ensure cargo arrives for intended vessel.
    • Coordinate with various transportation providers and internal parties to ensure proper movement of cargo.
    • Coordinate with various marine terminal operators and partner steamship lines to load cargo to vessel.
    • Coordinate with internal customer service teams to meet the needs of our valued customers.
    • Proactive resolution of escalated and troubleshooting issues.
    • Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, and refer clients to proper channels when necessary.
    • Prioritize and complete required tasks in a timely manner in accordance with company and global requirements.
    • Ability to retain and apply knowledge of procedures and practices to daily functions.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing industry.
    • Conduct themselves in a positive and professional manner during all interactions and correspondence.
    • VGM entry / monitoring / troubleshooting.
    • Long Idling container monitoring.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

    • Prior customer service experience, time management skills, ability to prioritize work, work efficiently under pressure, ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, detail oriented, critical thinking skills, proper phone etiquette and strong communication skills.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred but not required.
    • Prior industry experience preferred but not required.
