    General Description of Duties: Must be willing to obtain a CDL-Class B license within six (6) months of hire. Must have excellent customer service skills. Plans and coordinates pick-up and delivery routes, responds to customer complaints, and ensures timely delivery of shredding receptacle to customers. Supports facility operations as needed, and provide direct service to adults with developmental disabilities. Plans daily route assignments; communicates relevant information to direct supervisor via telephone communication; ensures load volumes are within shipment capacity; monitors daily pick-up and delivery progress to ensure customer needs are met in order of priority and geographical appropriateness. Once CDL is obtained will be expected to operate CDL required trucks on out of town routes with some over night stays. Overtime may be required.

    Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have the ability to drive box trucks up to 26 safely and efficiently. Forklift experience preferred. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, supervisors and co-workers. Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred. Knowledge of the State of New Mexico a plus. Must complete specific certifications (from our training department) and maintain those certifications throughout employment.

    Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check, & drug screen. Must have reliable transportation, Must have a valid NM drivers license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must have strong verbal communication and writing skills. Must have sufficient mobility to visit various locations with little or no notice. Routes may require travel throughout the State. Employee will be responsible for all costs associated with obtaining their CDL class B license. Employee will be allowed to use one of Adelantes trucks for the road test once they have obtained their permit and have passed the written test for their CDL class B license. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and push or pull confidential shred containers weighing up to 300lbs on a continuous basis. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
