- Coordinate Kids Kare events throughout the week.
- Assist the Supervisor and Resource coordinator with regular and special event activities, setting up rooms with supplies needed, updating rosters and continuing to organize the resource room and attic
- Recruit and communicate with volunteers to staff classrooms.
- Support the Kids Kare Manager by meeting on a regular basis to calendar and communicate on going needs
- Prepare for training meetings
- Have a positive attitude toward children and parents
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain healthy and working relationship with Kids Kare teachers, administrators and management
- Implement and sustain the vision of the Kids Kare Manager and Idlewild
- Communicate verbally to children and parents
- Problem solver in a Christ-like manner
- Flexibility to be moved to other classrooms outside of the teacher's age preference

Summary of the Ministry Position
: Event Coordinator- Kids Kare works closely with the Kids Kare administrative staff to provide the safety and well-being of children left in Kids Kare hands for a wide variety of ministry needs and functions. This includes coordinating events, recruiting, and managing volunteers, and cross training with other administrative staff.Key Ministry Areas of Responsibility: *Responsibilities for this position can be added to, decreased, and/or modified within existing primary and secondary responsibilities.

20 hours per week
Education required and preferred:
Currently attending High School as a student; adults must have a high school education
Experience required and preferred:
Previous experience working in a childcare setting is preferred.
Skills required and preferred:
Characteristics required and preferred: Godly character. Evident in all interpersonal relationships. Must be a model to the staff and volunteers in speech and conduct. Friendly and inviting to parents, children, and staff. Worship Service and ABF Group participation is required (More importantly, hopefully it is desired by the person filling this position). Model of biblical stewardship with personal finances and time.
Physical required and preferred: Ability to sit, stand, walk briskly, stoop, reach, climb stairs, hold a child, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
