SUMMARY
The
DevOps Manager, Platform Tooling and Containerization
is a technical expert responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of platform, containerization, and orchestration tools and processes utilized by the
organization. This
is a hands-on technical role with responsibilities of growing and coaching DevOps engineers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following.

Works closely with the technical and support teams to deliver and manage services with high uptime
Advocate for automated processes to improve quality, deployment, and support of multiple products
Build and maintain solutions and tools focused on CI\CD and orchestration that support automated deployment and configuration with zero downtime
Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes for CI\CD and container deployment and configuration issues
Builds tools to allow others to deploy new environments and update existing environments through use of automation
Maintain deployment technologies for multiple products and services across multiple clouds
Grow and coach DevOps engineers to be great engineers
Define user stories and acceptance criteria to support technical projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically 7 to 10 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
Experience designing and maintaining developer CI\CD and containerization tools.
Proven track record of working as part of a team across multiple cross-functional groups.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Scripting and debugging in programming languages like powershell and bash scripts.
Experience with configuration management tools
Available for occasional off-hours work and 24/7 rotational on-call responsibilities.
Experience working in agile environments, continuous deployment/delivery, and system automation tools.
Experience in container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
Experience in orchestration technologies like Harness
Additional relevant training courses (from colleges, universities, conferences or corporate) are a plus.
COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
Strong fundamentals in Powershell or other scripting language
Prior exposure to Git.
Working knowledge of modern yaml based build systems (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
Working knowledge of deployment approaches
Exposure to Cloud implementations using
Azure and AWS
Good ability to derive and design technical specifications from general product requirements
Advanced ability to remain current on new technology within the software industry
Advanced ability to problem solve/diagnose in a technical space
Good technical knowledge of broad business areas
Work independently; receive minimal guidance
Professional maturity in delivering difficult messages in a professional and empathetic manner
Good negotiating skills
Able to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project
Use skills to resolve complex issues in effective ways
Act as a resource for colleagues; directs the work of other staff members

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.
However, the pay range for this position is as follows.
$102, $190,100.00
