    Job Overview

    Hubbell is seeking an off-shift Production Manager to provide leadership to the team and be responsible for all aspects of operations including personnel, productivity, and on-time delivery.

    Manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to process improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and performance.

    Deploy company policies and strategies to staff throughout the manufacturing operation and translate them into business and team goals.

    A Day In The Life

    Manage and direct overall off-shift operations.

    Manage and coach Production/maintenance Supervisors and provide development and training.

    Maintains a safe working environment consistent with all local, state and OSHA requirements.

    Originates, measures, and improves key indicators for the production team (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Labor effectivity, Inventory and Cost).

    Continues to enhance the LEAN culture. Ensures the production area maintains a clean, well-organized environment through "continuous improvement" and 5S. Implements and drives "continuous improvement" activities by eliminating non valued added activities in the manufacturing process (waste elimination).

    Coordinate overall manufacturing and maintenance operations.

    Work closely with Production Control and Quality to complete orders on time.

    Maintain positive employee relations in a union environment.

    Drive accountability of Production Leadership and Hourly workforce


    Assist the Manufacturing Engineer with the design and installation of product lines and with projects relating to new products and/or processes as well as with the design and maintenance of fixturing and tooling requirements for all processes.

    Ensures production schedules are met.

    What will help you thrive in this role?

    Bachelors Degree preferred

    5-7years Manufacturing leadership experience

    Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

    Knowledge of assembly/fabrication/machinery & preventative maintenance desirable

    Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and training skills.

    Strong SAP skills preferred.

    Background in maintenance or production as well as strong leadership skills required.

    Must be willing to work flexible hours across shifts.

    Dynamic, results oriented, metric driven, disciplined leadership.

    Staff development and employee engagement skills

    Foundry and/or Machining experience preferred

    Experience working in a union environment preferred
