Position Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide necessary support to the Fabrication shop from preparation to completion of jobs

Experience required:

• Ability to arrive on time and ready to work
• Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
• Ability to follow direction and exercise good judgment
• High attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new skills and tasks
• Perform basic math
• Willingness and ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
• Minimum 1 year in welding/fabrication shop environment
• OSHA 10 Certified
• Certified forklift operator

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Clean workpieces using grinder, sander, scraper, etc. to remove foreign material such as slag, scale, and rust
• Ability to correctly use/read a measuring tape, square, and other necessary tools and cut material to length
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to PPE guidelines
• Follow company policies on attendance, safety, etc.
• Maintain a positive attitude and high level of ethics and integrity
• Clean, inspect, maintain, and care for company provided tools and equipment
• Willingness to perform duties outside of the normal scope of work as requested by management
• Ability to ensure proper quantities and maintain quality control
• Ability to read and properly interpret blueprints, plans, and layouts
• Ability to properly and safely operate punch and drill press
• Ability to properly and safely operate (non-automated) saws
• Asses weld surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors
