    Job DescriptionJob Summary

    Responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer systems and other technologies, such as communication systems. Duties include configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or routers, repairing equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users. May also work in other technological specialties, such as Web design or Internet security.

    Essential Duties

    • Provides support for all IT hardware and software (includes PCs, peripherals, servers, networking equipment, operating systems and other software).
    • Assists with the development and upkeep of preventative maintenance schedules for all computer systems.
    • Provides support to end users in the selection, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
    • Provides escalated technical support that requires an on-site presence (server, NAS, network or PC equipment failure), including data backup recovery.
    • Performs simple and complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and re-installations.
    • Provides new staff with PC/account setup and orientation.
    • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of all computer work.
    • Assists with the monitoring and updating of information systems policies and procedures.
    • Maintain relationships with Managed IT Provider and other managed services
    • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); knowledge of office equipment operation; skilled with applicable computer software; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Proficiency with Windows desktop and server operation, active directory, and office suite; Mac OSX desktop, networking, and file sharing protocols required. Knowledge of web design; programming; SQL servers; Crystal reporting; Cisco infrastructure, firmware, and programming; and wired and wireless is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable working in small areas at heights in excess of 30 feet.
