    Mechanical Assembler

    You will perform highly diversified functions necessary to assemble, disassemble, hydrotest, mount, align and pipe a wide variety of assemblies, rotors and equipment.

    Your Challenge

    • Perform functions necessary to assemble, disassemble, hydrotest, mount, align, and pipe a wide variety of assemblies, rotors, and equipment.
    • Follow instructions for the various assemblies provided via electronic drawings, procedures, standard work documents, engineering instruction, work instructions, etc.
    • Utilize various hand tools to complete all tasks.
    • Utilize some machine tools to complete a variety of tasks.
    • Utilize overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts and other lifting equipment when the task calls for it.
    • Complete all necessary documentation sign offs.
    • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
    • Work with supervisor and team to develop best practice improvement ideas.
    • Support test department - as needed – regarding Test set up functions.
    • Implement safety-based upgrades.
    • Occasionally support vendors visiting on-site for field work on pumps/motors.
    • Follow all processes and procedures.
    • Participate in department improvement projects/ideas.
    • Attend meetings (Safety, Training, All-hands).

    What You Bring

    • Basic computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
    • Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
    • Familiarity with all hand tools.
    • Familiarity with measuring devices such as micrometers, calibers, tape measures, etc.
    • Time management, organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US DOD security clearance.
    • Experience working with defense department quality control systems is desire.
