    Job Duties:

    • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide direct assistance during surgical procedures. This includes anticipating the surgeon's needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
    • Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
    • Ensure all items are sterilized and set up in accordance with established protocols.
    • Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgery.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with the application of sterile drapes.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of surgical instruments and their proper usage.
    • Arrange for the timely sterilization and availability of instruments required for each surgical case.
    • Work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to coordinate efforts and enhance the overall efficiency of the operating room.
    • Assist with the postoperative care of patients, including wound closure, application of dressings, and transferring patients to the recovery area.
    • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
    • Stay updated on advancements in surgical technology, techniques, and equipment.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

    Job Requirements:

    • Certified Surgical Technologist
    • BLS (AHA)
    • NBSTSA or NCCT certification
    • Covid card and and Flu vaccine

    Schedule:

    • Day shift
    • 07:00-17:00
    • Up to 1 night call a week
    • Up to 1 weekend work shift per month
