    Job Title:
    Senior Project Engineer (Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead)

    *Duration: Full Time
    • This position is for a Senior Project Engineer (Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead) role to join a growing aerospace team. As an important part of the Engineering team here at Client, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by performing project engineering tasks to coordinate and drive results of critical aerospace projects.

    This role will work with the Client team, as well as our major aerospace customer, following Engineering Standard Work to coordinate across corporate engineering disciplines to meet schedule, cost, and process compliance requirements.

    You will own the overall success and progress of the project.

    This is considered a hybrid position, meaning this role will require working onsite at our customer location and/or our facility – both located in Windsor, CT or home offices.

    *Own the schedule, cost, performance, and process for driving success on cross-functional aerospace engineering projects.

    • Manage the design and integration of complex assemblies
    • Generate status reports and present project status to external and internal stakeholders on a regular basis
    • Proactively identify project scope, budget, and schedule risks and implement strategies to minimize risk and overcome project success barriers.
    • Follow defined processes to update and maintain customer systems and databases (including PLM software) with the latest project status
    • Participate in ad-hoc project engineering initiatives, such as failure investigations (RRCAs), engineering changes (configuration management), earned value management systems (EVMS)
    • Leverage your engineering knowledge to have informed, technical discussions across engineering groups to have a thorough understanding of technical project performance
    • Visit customers in-person as needed to drive project progress
    • Escalate project barriers and risks as needed
    • Own and maintain all project documentation
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field
    • Direct experience acting as a senior project engineer or IPT Lead
    • Experience working with Teamcenter or other PLM software
    • Outstanding communication and technical writing skills
    • PMP Certification preferred
    • Experience managing projects through the engineering design process
    • An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
    • Knowledge of inspections procedures, such as FPI, MPI, X-Ray, etc.
    • Knowledge of common metal hardware repair types, such as blend repairs, coating repairs, welding repairs, etc.
    • Exposure to project or program management
    • Experience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learned
    • Experience with Adobe Framemaker
