Senior Mainframe Architect

What does a successful Senior Mainframe Architect do at Fiserv?

You'll be laser-focused on go-to-market solutions for Optis, our large-scale Issuer Solutions processing environment. You'll collaborate and interact at all levels of the organization with clients of leading financial institutions, product managers, and software engineers to envision, design, and build innovative products and technology solutions.

What you will do:

• Leverage mainframe technology expertise to reinforce the vision of enterprise applications
• Provide thought leadership in the delivery of complex solutions encompassing multiple products and services, involving a clear strategy for product integration
• Influence product development for an enterprise-level technology roadmap strategy
• Develop client-facing conceptual solutions while owning the corresponding technology-design specifications and other system-related information
• Engage development teams, related enterprise and software architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders
• Apply extensive analytical skills to address the needs of corporate strategy, understand technology specifics, and understand how different parts of the business operation are connected

What you will need to have:

• 20+ years of experience in large-scale IT system development, including hands-on software development experience in designing, writing, debugging, and testing code
• 15+ years of mainframe technology experience in MVS, CICS, Cobol, JCL, and MQ
• 2+ years of mainframe experience on the Optis platform or a similar platform
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience
