Job Summary:
nThe X-ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining patient safety and comfort
nnKey Responsibilities:
nPrepare and position patients for X-ray procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.nnOperate and maintain X-ray equipment, following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.nnCapture high-quality diagnostic images for physician review and diagnosis.nnVerify patient identity and review medical history prior to procedures.nnMaintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation.nnCollaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.nnAdhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.nnPerform routine quality control checks on equipment.nnComply with all federal, state, and facility-specific guidelines and safety procedures.
nnQualifications:
nCompletion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.nnARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or required (depending on state).nnCPR certification.nnStrong communication skills and patient care abilities.nnProficiency in using medical imaging software and technology.
nnLicensing and Certification Requirements by State:
