POSITION: Early Childhood Educators

LOCATIONS: Various Schools

REPORTS TO: Principal

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Implements readiness classroom program of students ages 3 and 4 in a full day readiness pre-kindergarten program.

· Assists in the overall effective management and coordination of the daycare program.

· Assists in the activities of program planning, implementation, and ongoing need assessment.

· Assists in the development of the curriculum. Assists in facilitating communication between school and parents.

· Assists in toileting participants. Perform other related duties as by supervisor or designee.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Child Studies, or Human Development and Family Studies.

· Experience working in a similar setting preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community.

· Develop and maintain favorable relationships with administration, staff and parents.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable.

· Must be willing to participate in in-service training and staff meetings as required.

· College Transcripts must be uploaded along with application. Failure to do so will disqualify the candidate.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of Child Development Associates Salary Grid S273: ($40,605 - $43,091). Ten-month position.
