    Company: Kadean Construction (A Design-Build Focused General Contractor)

    Location: St. Louis, MO headquarters - this is an in-office full-time position with some travel to satellite offices and job sites.

    Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Administrator to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure as part of our overall technology strategy. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including hardware and software management, cloud-based operations, data management, security compliance, user training, and collaborating with our Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing company in a dynamic and exciting industry.

    Requirements

    • Hardware Management:
      • Maintain a monthly inventory report of all IT assets (computers, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices).
      • Manage the procurement, reallocation, and retirement of IT equipment in accordance with company policies and budget constraints.
      • Build and maintain positive relationships with key hardware vendors and service providers.
    • Cloud/Software Management:
      • Generate monthly reports on user accounts and software licenses.
      • Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes for various cloud-based applications (M365, Bluebeam, Adobe, Box, MS Project).
      • Optimize software licensing allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness and budget adherence.
      • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate favorable discounts and terms as the company grows.
    • Security Management:
      • Partner with the MSP to implement and maintain robust security measures across our IT infrastructure.
      • Work with the MSP to conduct regular security testing and vulnerability assessments.
      • Oversee the completion of mandatory annual cybersecurity training for all employees.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and security standards.
      • Coordinate with the MSP to leverage discounts offered by our cyber liability insurance provider.
    • Data Management:
      • Develop and implement strategies to eliminate duplicate data within project cloud storage.
      • Establish an efficient data archiving process for closed projects to optimize cloud storage costs.
      • Ensure proper data governance and access control practices.
    • User Support:
      • Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with hardware and software issues.
      • Create and manage user accounts, access permissions, and email accounts.
      • Partner with 3rd party IT Support when necessary.
    • Training:
      • Design and deliver training programs for employees on various software applications used in the company.
      • Collaborate with the MSP to ensure successful completion of annual cybersecurity awareness training.
      • Track employee certifications and communicate updates to the HR department for accurate management.
    • Additional Responsibilities:
      • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to construction and design.
      • Collaborate with various departments within the company to provide IT support and solutions.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT administration.
    • Strong understanding of hardware, software, and cloud-based technologies.
    • Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various cloud-based applications.
    • Experience with data management best practices.
    • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
    • Discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Willingness and ability to learn about building design and the construction industry.
    • Ability to travel to satellite offices and job sites as needed.
    Physical requirements
    • Sit or stand for the majority of a typical workday.
    • Maneuver between floors of the offices.
    • Pull/push equipment used in the different departments.
    • Lift and move up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to reach above shoulder level for installing, maintaining, or replacing facility devices.
    • Ability to reach with hands and arms, bend over, or crawl under desks when necessary.
