- AAS degree or certificate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- One year of experience preferred, but willing to train
- RT or RRT credentials
- NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- BLS
- ACLS
- Per Diem
- Performs patient assessment pre, during, and post procedure for all ages groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric
- Demonstrates competency in assessment based on patient age, as well as physical and emotional growth
- Demonstrates competence with all respiratory modalities and equipment
- Performs maintenance and quality control procedures for pulmonary function testing and blood analyzers
- Performs invasive procedures according to hospital and departmental guidelines, and endorses all critical results
- Follows disinfection and sterilization procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge of ventilation modes, weaning, and safety procedures for all age groups
- Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, clinical personnel, patients, and visitors
- Assumes role of Charge Person when indicated according to department guidelines
- Completes departmental documentation and charges by the shift end
