ITAC Solutions is assisting a great client searching for a Project Manager who will sit onsite at their location in Birmingham, Alabama.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing IT-related projects, encompassing the evaluation of technology, providing strategic recommendations, and actively participating in the design and development of innovative solutions.

In addition to project management duties, the selected candidate will be involved in the preparation of RFPs/bids, contributing to requirements definition, ensuring adherence to bids, and actively participating in vendor selection processes.

What you'll be doing (duties of this position):

Organize and lead meetings to discuss and evaluate operational strategies for IT projects, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

Oversee the execution of IT projects, ensuring strict adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Develop or revise project plans, incorporating details such as objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and meeting quality standards.
Foster strong business relationships with colleagues, acting as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
Collaborate with project personnel to identify and resolve issues, ensuring project deliverables meet established quality standards.
Assist in defining project requirements and contribute to the creation of bids and RFPs. Lead the process post-response to ensure compliance with requirements and select the most suitable vendor.
Collaborate with users to gather information for quotes on capital purchases.
Utilize appropriate project management tools and techniques to track and assess project performance.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on various systems and equipment, summarizing business, financial, or economic data for stakeholders.
Prepare and maintain documentation for processes, policies, and procedures related to computer systems and operations.
Complete cross-training within the department and provide organizational training on systems to employees.

What you'll need to be considered (requirements):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
PMP Certification required

Five (5) years of Information Technology experience, involving the development, implementation, and support of fully integrated business systems is mandatory.

One year of project/program management experience is required.
Knowledgeable and proficient in project management techniques & software tools.
Experience in technology planning, risk management and change management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 desktop/server environments, SAP, storage area networks (SAN), and voice/data IP networking.
