Director of Process chemistry and Business innovation

Location-based

New York/Boston/San Diego/San Francisco/New Jersey, USA.

Your role

1. Lead a team of chemists remotely to complete the scale-up of intermediates, RSMs, and APIs.
2. Ensure that all processes are optimized for safety, quality, and efficiency through collaboration with internal teams.
3. Leverage their technical expertise and business insight to ensure effective and uniform communication with clients.
4. Meet with potential and existing customers in the assigned territory to showcase capabilities and services, recognize opportunities, build connections, and finalize deals.
5. Attend conferences and industry events to represent the company professionally.
6. Safeguard the confidentiality of company and client information.
7. While this is a remote role with a US scope, the ideal candidate should be open to traveling to client locations as required.
8. Perform other assigned duties.

Required Skills

1. PhD in organic chemistry or related field.
2. Prior experience in technical operations (R&D, Process chemistry, manufacturing) in a pharmaceutical or CDMO environment
3. Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and terminology
4. A willingness and ability to travel to client locations as needed
5. Must be able to multitask while maintaining efficiency and effectiveness
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with clients, peers, management, and other external contacts
7. Must have the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment
8. Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Preferred qualifications

1. Familiarity with ICH guidelines and GMP operations.
2. Ability to conceptualize problems and solutions and sort out the business strategy.
3. Strong organizational, planning, project management skills, ability to maintain demanding timelines.
