    Palliative Care Physician, University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center

    Position Location: Cleveland, Ohio

    Position Type: Full-time Physician

    Specialty: Geriatrics Medicine - Palliative Care

    The Palliative Care Program at University Hospitals Ahujad Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking experienced Palliative Care Physicians.

    Clinical responsibilities, which may vary depending on physician expertise, interest and organizational needs, include inpatient consultation, outpatient clinical responsibilities, and supervision of advanced practice nurses. Opportunities are available for research activities, clinical program development, medical education, and integration of services within University Hospitals Health System. Shared weekend coverage ranges from 1:4 to 1:5, and supports the main campus Inpatient service as well as the outpatient program. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine. Experience in Oncology Palliative Care preferred.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Inpatient palliative care consultation/outpatient clinic

    • Education of residents, fellows, and medical students

    • Supervision of APPs

    • Collaboration with trauma, cardiac, intensive care, surgery, and oncologic services

    • Active Ohio Medical License in good standing upon effective date of employment
    • Excellent clinical and teaching skills
    • Must be able to enrich the inter-collaborative culture of the Division
