Position Overview: The Lead Quality Inspector/CMM Programmer will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and precision of our products. They will be responsible for overseeing the dimensional inspection of all customer's critical rotating parts and specialized custom tooling. This role involves utilizing mechanical inspection tools, digital inspection equipment, and CMM programming expertise to uphold stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect manufactured components using mechanical inspection tools and digital inspection equipment.
• Plan inspection activities by reviewing work operation sheets, blueprints, customer drawings, etc.
• Perform 1st article inspections per customer and AS9100 requirements.
• Stay updated on new developments in inspection techniques, industry trends, and equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule requirements and inspection details.
• Fulfill the role of the Delegated Quality Control Representative (DQCR).

Ideal Background:

• High School diploma or equivalent; degree in vocational trade school preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CMM Programming experience required (Zeiss background preferred).
• Experience in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
• Proficiency in GD&T/ANSI Y14.5 and familiarity with sampling procedures and visual inspection requirements.
• Ability to interpret various customer drawings and specs.
• Experience as a Designated Quality Control Representative (DQCR) preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 environments.
• Manual machining experience is a plus (Bridgeport, lathes, etc.).
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Word and MS Excel.
