    Description

    KerberRose is currently hiring a Accountant/Bookkeeper who will support our small business clients by processing monthly accounting, year-end close procedures, reconciling financial data and will interact with clients regularly.

    Responsibilities:

  • Maintains customer satisfaction and retention through accurate and efficient customer service
  • Interfaces with other peers and superiors to support actions and initiatives which improve client retention.
  • Customer interaction – participates in client meetings via phone and in person when necessary. Demonstrates effective business communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to facilitate high service value with clients.
  • Strategic thinking – probes, gathers and analyzes client data pertaining to general ledger reporting, related services and day-to-day operations for assigned clients.
  • Provides customer-focused interaction with clients via phone, email and in person.
  • Communicates effectively and accurately with internal teammates and external clients.
  • Performs in-house and on-site bookkeeping for clients
  • Daily Duties:

  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Bookkeeping adjustments and journal entries
  • Preparation of year-end Trial Balance
  • Review and verify source documents
  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
  • Analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and verification of accuracy to assure reconciliation to supporting documentation
  • Preparation of Federal and State filings and payments including sales tax, withholding tax, income tax, etc.
  • Requirements

    Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in Public Accounting preferred, but not required
