    Description

    Optim Orthopedics is looking for a Part Time Occupational Therapist for the Bluffton, SC location.

    Job Requirements:

    • The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients with various conditions resulting in disability or functional loss. They develop treatment plans, supervise follow-up care, and ensure an efficient clinical workflow for positive patient experiences.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supervising Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs), Rehab Aides, and OT/OTA students.
    • Assessing patients and collaborating with medical team members to develop treatment plans.
    • Communicating regularly with medical staff, patients, and management.
    • Helping patients improve daily living and work skills.
    • Teaching patients home exercise programs.
    • Ensuring accurate documentation of therapy services.
    • Utilizing occupational therapy interventions for optimal patient outcomes.
    • Completing hand and upper extremity evaluations and treatments.
    • Participating in reporting data for organization success.
    • Performing necessary tasks to ensure clinic compliance.
    • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Assisting in identifying patients requiring updated authorizations and referrals.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
    • Experience: Hand Therapy experience and modality certification preferred.
    • Requirements: Current state Occupational Therapist license, Current BLS certification.

    Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, and EHR systems.

    Performance Requirements:

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities related to Occupational Therapy practices.

    Equipment Operated: Variety of therapeutic equipment.

    Physical Demands: Extensive physical activities and ability to transport patients safely.

    Work Environment: Therapy gym and exam rooms, occasionally in a patient's workplace or community. Exposure to various diseases and biohazards.
