- Outreach: Outreach to agencies to inquire about available services, referral processes, and event collaboration.
- Updating and Creating Databases and Resource Lists: Inputting information into databases and creating resource lists for different communities.
- Event Planning/Organizing: Making calls, sending invitations, and reaching out to agencies for participation or donations.
- Client Support: Working directly with KIND clients to provide social services referrals.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University.
- Fluent in Spanish & English.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Experience working with immigrant families and children preferred.
- Experience working with children and survivors of trauma preferred.
- Passionate about issues affecting unaccompanied immigrant children.
- Ability to commit to 3 days per week for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2024.
- KIND will provide intern with laptop for the duration of the internship.
- This internship is unpaid, but KIND is happy to support school credit, work study and stipends that interns can seek through their academic institutions.
