As a Practice Manager in Data Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in growing Lagozon's Data Engineering business by identifying and leveraging opportunities to enhance business outcomes through innovative data solutions.

This role demands a strong technology leader with a deep understanding of data engineering technologies and practices, including hands-on experience with leading platforms like Databricks and Snowflake, and a solid grasp of the Azure Databricks platform for scalable data analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

At least 10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in hands-on development of Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions.

Strong experience with data programming languages (e.g., Python, Scala) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
Essential experience in Azure and Databricks.
Proven experience as a delivery lead in building data engineering capabilities and services.
Certifications in Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or related data engineering technologies will be an added advantage.
Qualifications

Technical Leadership:
Provide hands-on implementation expertise with Databricks/ Snowflake Data Platforms to design and support scalable data analytics solutions.

Solution Architecture:
Architect, design, and deliver data analytics solutions that align with business goals and are scalable, performance-oriented, and cost-effective.

Team Leadership:

Build and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and adoption of best data engineering practices.

Go-getter, with a never-say-die attitude
Ability to work on stretch goals and highly demanding targets
Self-starter with the ability to work with limited input
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
