We are looking for a Sr. Network Administrator.

This is a full-time permanent hire hybrid (on-site and work from home) position In Raleigh, North Carolina with our client.

In this role as a Sr.

Network Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the operation of the corporate networks by installing systems like local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and data communication systems, regularly evaluating the performance of the network, solve problems and fix issues.

Responsibilities for a Sr.


Network Administrator:

Broad knowledge of infrastructure functions (Network, Server, Cloud)Ability to identify creative infrastructure solutions to complex business technology problems in a growing environment with a high rate of expansionProven technology leader with ability to work across groups to identify process and/or technology gaps.

Experience with cloud infrastructure networking.

(vNets, Resource Groups, virtual network appliances, managed apps, cost management, vWans, peering, and route tables)Experience with Cisco Meraki management (Templates, traffic shaping, Group policies, content filtering, etc)Significant Experience with firewall rule administration, Azure VPN implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is requiredNetwork design experience in Azure ensuring near 100% uptimeMaintain network connectivity of all computer workstations in the corporate and store locations.

This includes customization of network templates, upgrade of Meraki network equipment as well as troubleshooting of wireless networksDevelop and monitor policies for the use of network resources including the setup of firewall rules and role-based access of network devicesImplement and manage disaster recovery and network communications back-up using Azure and redundant regionsEvaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades as well as responding to events identified by the security team needing remediationMonitor network to ensure optimal performance including the setup/testing of QOS as well as proactively identifying individual store/location bandwidth performance issues/bottlenecksCreate technical support documentation for networks as well as setup of confluence to assist with team redundancyWork through IT projects using Jira.

This includes ensuring that proper documentation is provided including realistic due dates, and that updates are kept currentCollaborate with development, security, and network team management to deliver high quality, resilient, and secure cloud solutionsActively triage and resolve Production incidents related to the physical infrastructure/cloud platforms and participate in root cause analysis and retrospective discussionsUse industry knowledge and experience to continuously assess the environment and drive improvements that use the latest technologyProven ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate essential technology issues to upper managementEnsure that baseline keeping the lights on activities are performed to ensure a proactive response to potential technology problemsExperience working with offshore infrastructure IT resourcesPerform scheduled preventative maintenance and firmware management based on network load schedules as well as approval from the Change Control board processWork with Vendors to provide on-going support/maintenance and other aspects of the relationship such as services and hardware/software upgrades and new purchase POCsRequired Skills and Qualifications as a Sr.

Network Administrator:
7+ years experience in a Network Administration roleAdvanced knowledge of networking conceptsProven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skillsHands-on technical troubleshooting capabilitiesAbility to work independently under minimal supervisionKnowledge of computing infrastructuresFamiliarity with server management and monitoring toolsExceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilityProficiency with API scripting languagesStrong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issuesBachelors degree in computer science/related field or substantial equivalent experiencePrevious experience with Cisco/Meraki switches and routers requiredNetwork Design experience requiredCMSS, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plusAdvanced Azure Network technology experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
