- Provides customer service to the public via telephone, email, and walk-in traffic
- Assists customers in completing required forms and application materials
- Conducts research to obtain missing information and validate questionable data
- Processes a variety of documents, including dealer paperwork, individual registration applications, and passport applications
- Inspects applications and performs accepted procedures for verification to ensure all requirements are met before processing
- Monitors all submitted paperwork for fraud and forgery
- Collects and processes application payments
- Follows established cash drawer procedure to balance cash drawer and submit paperwork and fees to Treasure's Office
- Completes required communications, reports, and record-keeping tasks related to processed applications

Description
The Licensing Specialist performs duties related to processing applications for motor vehicle registration, titling, taxes, leases, and passport issuance. Primary responsibilities include assisting customers in completing applications, reviewing documentation, and processing payments. This position requires exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $21.50 to $23.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Williams County Offers a Generous Benefit Package, including Paid sick and vacation 12 paid holidays per years, fully paid health , dental and vision insurance for single, single + dependent, or family contracts, term life insurance, long term disability insurance, fully funded retirement benefits through the North Dakota Public employees retirement system.

Williams County pays the full premium for family, single-plus-dependent or single coverage plan for each full-time employee.
Williams County provides a monthly allowance toward the purchase of a voluntary supplemental insurance policy for each full-time employee. Coverage may include single, single-plus-dependent or family coverage on any voluntary supplemental insurance provided by the designated Williams County supplemental insurance provider.
Williams County pays the premium for a $25,000 term life insurance policy and $25,000 accidental death and dismemberment policy for full-time employees.
Williams County pays the premium for a Long Term Disability Insurance plan for full-time employees.
Employees who are at least 18 years of age and are working in a qualified position an average of 20 hours per week for five or more months of the year are required to participate in the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (ND PERS) Retirement Plan. Membership will become effective immediately upon employment.
