    About the Role

    The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to lead the next phase of its advancement strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-year advancement strategy to significantly increase annual revenue, in line with the organization's strategic plan. This includes overseeing all revenue streams such as major and principal gifts, foundation and institutional giving, government and public funding, corporate partnerships, and events. The CAO will also be tasked with personally cultivating and stewarding high-capacity donors, expanding donor engagement, and representing the organization in the philanthropic community. A key aspect of the role is to intentionally lead and develop a high-performing advancement team, strengthen systems and processes, and foster a culture of philanthropy.

    Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' senior advancement experience, with a proven track record in building and scaling revenue. The role requires a candidate with a passion for the organization's mission, a proactive leadership approach, and deep expertise in institutional giving and grants. Strong experience in major gifts is essential, as is the ability to work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, collaborative, and mission-driven thought leader, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to maintain donor and beneficiary confidentiality. Familiarity with child welfare systems and public funding environments is a plus.
